A Father's-to-be's perspective

As I reflect on my life and what is coming through my journey, it is easy for me to think about being a father. This is a point in my life that I cherish for many reasons. The further connection with Rachel, the joy from a baby, and the natural next step for our family are just a few.

Last weekend, Rachel and I made time to celebrate the pregnancy. We took our entire Saturday and filled it with intention. My wish is to pass this beautiful day on so maybe you too could enjoy some of the magic that happened.

The three major events consisted of meditating three times during the day with holding the intention of our family and more specifically the baby. We then went to "Beads and Beyond" and made pregnancy blessing necklaces. This is a symbol of the baby that both Rachel and I can have with us at all times. Not wearing a necklace on a consistent basis, I am very conscious of feeling this on my body and it gives me the gift of thinking about the baby frequently throughout my day. The final piece that we did was construct vision boards for our family. We made these to create several images of what we want to create for our life and for our family.

At the end of the day, I found myself totally connected to the baby, Rachel, and full of gratitude for what is in my life.
